Roemah Pemberdayaan Masyarakat

A house built by the village, for the village

The House of Community Empowerment — “Roemah” an old spelling of rumah, house. Founded by the people of Kemutug Lor themselves, it turns village skill into livelihood for those the nine-to-five world leaves behind.

Our Story

Built by its own people.

Roemah Pemberdayaan Masyarakat wasn't started by an outside organization or a distant donor. It grew from the village itself — neighbors who saw how many hands sat idle, and how much skill went unused.

Not everyone can leave for a nine-to-five in the city. Mothers, farmers, and villagers needed work that fit the rhythm of home — something to do between harvests, around family, on their own time. Weaving became that work.
